Ayyappa Saranam
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Ayyappa Saranam handles information when you visit the website, sign in, browse listings, or contribute to the community.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. Who operates this website and how to contact us
The service is presented as Ayyappa Saranam. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or a request to remove account information, contact sannidhanamofficial@gmail.com. We may ask for enough information to confirm that a request relates to you before acting on it.
2. Information we handle
The information depends on how you use the website. It may include:
- Account information supplied by the sign-in provider, such as an account identifier, email address, and name or profile image if made available by that provider.
- Details you submit in public listings or posts, such as organizer or host name, description, event or service information, contact number, photographs, address, map coordinates, and map link.
- Community activity such as interests, bookmarks, reports, notifications, and moderation records associated with your account.
- If you use the Mandala Deeksha tracker while signed in: the start date, optional devotee and Guruswami names, and the checklist you save.
- Technical and connection information processed by hosting, authentication, security, and service providers to deliver and protect the website, which may include IP address, browser or device details, request time, and requested page.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide sign-in, show and manage listings, enable location-based discovery, save user-requested features, support community participation, respond to requests, moderate and investigate reports, prevent abuse, maintain security, troubleshoot the service, and meet legal obligations.
4. Public content and contact details
Approved listings and community submissions are designed to be public. Information you include in them may be seen by visitors, copied, indexed by search engines, or shared outside this website. Contact numbers are displayed only where the feature and your submission make them public. Do not include information you want to keep private.
You can ask us to review or remove content you submitted by emailing the address below. Removing a public page may not remove copies already made by search engines, other websites, or people who viewed it.
5. Device location, maps, and geocoding
A location feature requests browser permission only when you choose to use it. Your browser provides coordinates so the website can find nearby listings or help set a listing's location. When a location is reverse-geocoded or an address is searched, the server sends the relevant coordinates or address query to the configured geocoding provider; the current default is OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap infrastructure, which may receive connection details and the map tiles requested by your browser.
A map location that you submit with a public listing is stored with that listing and shown to visitors. Location filters may be encoded in the page URL. You can deny browser location access and use address search or browse without location features.
6. Service providers and external content
We use service providers to operate the website and its features. Depending on what you use, they may process information on our behalf or under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase provides authentication and database hosting for accounts, listings, and saved community features.
- Google may receive information when you choose Google sign-in.
- OpenStreetMap services provide map tiles and the default geocoding service.
- YouTube privacy-enhanced embeds are used for some devotional videos. Loading or playing an embed may send technical information to YouTube/Google.
7. Browser storage
The website and its providers may use browser storage or similar technologies where needed for authentication, language or interface preferences, security, and features you choose. A legacy Mandala Deeksha tracker may also exist in local browser storage; the signed-in tracker is stored with the account in Supabase. Browser settings can clear or restrict local storage, but doing so may sign you out or reset saved preferences.
8. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with the providers described above to operate the website, with other users when you publish public content, when needed to protect users or the service, or when required by law. We may also disclose information in response to a lawful request or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
9. Retention and your choices
We keep information for as long as it is needed to provide the service, maintain account and community records, handle safety or moderation issues, resolve disputes, protect the website, or meet legal requirements. Expired or archived listings may no longer appear publicly while records remain in the system. Seva listings may remain available until they are archived or otherwise removed through the service.
You can choose not to provide optional details, deny location access, avoid signing in, or refrain from posting public contact information. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account, email sannidhanamofficial@gmail.com. We will consider and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law and may retain information where a lawful reason requires it.
10. Security and children
We use access controls and service-provider security features to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a secure sign-in method and avoid posting sensitive personal information.
The website is a general community service and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us to request review.
11. Applicable privacy law and updates
We aim to handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy law. For reference, the official texts include India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. This policy describes the website's current practices; it is not a substitute for the official law.
We may update this policy as the website or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will be posted here. For questions or privacy requests, email sannidhanamofficial@gmail.com.
